Andres Bros Williamson, BDes (Hons)

Andres graduated in July 2005 with a degree in BDes. (Hons) in
Consumer Product Design from Edinburgh Napier University.
Andres obtained a wealth of experience in product design
and the production of luminaires.

During Andres's design degree he earned an internship of 8 months
at Jonathan Daifuku's design studio in Barcelona, Spain. Once
graduated Andres continued working in Barcelona under Hiroshi
Tsunoda and his company DesignCode. Here Andres specialised
in the design and production of decorative lighting products.  
Having developed this side of lighting he then focused his interest in
Architectural lighting. He gained more experience in this field as
Design Assistant with Kevan Shaw Lighting Design, Edinburgh.
Here Andres focused mainly on the implementation and design
of lighting in buildings.

Since graduating Andres has acquired a key interest on both
technical and artistic aspects of lighting design. In addition to
this he has a vast knowledge in lighting software technology,
modelling, calculations and the assembly of light fittings. A series
of lighting designs with the use of innovative materials brings an
impressive catalogue of products to the studio.


Julio Bros Williamson, BArch (Hons), MSc.

Graduated as an architect in 2002, Julio has also completed
an MSc in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building at
Oxford Brookes University (2005). Julio has since been working
as a freelance architect in housing, office and airport design &
construction both in Mexico and in the UK.  He specialises in
sustainable development of housing with a key focus on the
reduction of carbon emissions of both new build and refurbished
buildings. Julio presently lecturers at Edinburgh Napier University's
School of Arts and Creative Industries and as a consultant in the
Scottish Energy Centre of the same institution. He currently
participates in conferences organised by the Scottish Government
and the Scottish Sustainable Development Forum.
Julio has recently been awarded the BRE Global BREEAM Commercial
Assessor certificate and has become a member of the Scottish
Ecological Design Association (SEDA).
